Where to start!!!
Ok so we as a family came to Nova scotia in 2009. Work relocation.
We had our work permits and my husband had a job to go into. Nomination from NSNP was possible to proceed to permeanant residency but at that time we wheren't interested. We didn't know if we wanted to stay in this country we had only just got here and goodness it was a expense and a half for our large family.
2 years on and we renewed our work permits...started the process for permeanant residency by getting the nomination.
We bought a house, that we would have never been able to do in the UK because as a first time buyer with children we would have needed a huge downpayment.
Life was good. We sent our papers off to London as told too to start PR..
3 Months later they sent it back to say we had to send them to sydney NS as they had changed the offices....so so frustrating!!!! All the police checks where out of date along with the nomination expiring....we where so annoyed with this process that we said sod it...can't be bothered.....
Maybe that was our first mistake i don't know...we thought about moving back to UK,maybe move somewhere else...we couldn't decide and at the time it was out of the question so we let it lie.
Anyway this year we had to renew our work permits...instead of going by their 30 day before i sent off our applications online over 2 mths in advance, i sure wasn't going to be stuck without our permits and child benefit,msi etc
So with the CIC its a waiting game with no way of actually finding out what is happening with your application.
A month and a half after submitting our applications I got an email with a refusal letter....my work permit had been refused due to not having the right travel document ....
This couldn't be right i thought!!! I was standing there with my passport in my hand valid till 2021 so I called them....only to find that the document I had labelled as passport actually had a different document in it....never use camscanner to upload your documents more than one document in a foder and it just chooses what ever... anyway so I was on the phone explaining that I have my passport here I could fax it here and now....i begged with them but they just wouldn't do it they just said i would have to reapply i have enough time.
